It's funny because no matter who I ask, I usually get the same response: "Nothing much." And then the occasional very long story. But it really makes me wonder- are we asking people because it's cool or polite or whatever, or because we actually want to hear what's going on in their lives? I guess sometimes we get so caught up in what's going on with us that we forget other people are having the same problems- or different ones, also, but with basically the same result. Life's good and bad, but it's also just very fast, and I'm suddenly finding that it's better to listen and look for awesomeness than to keep the eyes to the ground and expect

Bored and a bit disgusted with myself for having left that other journal entry for so long, I sit down to write another one. After all, so much has happened in my life since last May. I get up to get a red vine from the garage. I sit down again.
